Summer’s the best time for new kids games! There’s a lot of time to play kids games outside, trade ideas for cool games for kids with the neighbor boys and girls… But it looks like this summer, the playgrounds in our parks won’t see as many children’s games as they could.
According to a new U.S. survey of parents with kids ages 18 and under, released by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and conducted by Zogby International, “nearly 30 percent of parents report their kids will spend more time online this summer than they did during the school year,” we read on StaySafeOnline.org.
Parents, let’s help kids to spend this summer doing something else! It’s up to us to keep our youngsters’ craziness about free kids games online in check! Sure, we don’t argue that there are a few Internet kids games which help kids to learn, or to develop skills and expand their outlook. We hope you might even think of some of our free educational games in this way. But are you sure that the digital sun, even in the best kids’ games, is brighter than in the nearest park?
Let’s give our children more ideas for cool games for kids, for example:
• biking
• flying a kite
• tenting
• archery
• building sand castles
• creating a herbarium
• playing hide-and-seek
• land art (have you ever tried to create your own “green” masterpiece? It’s no less exciting than kids games websites!)
