Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign has extended its web presence and initiated a new digital challenge, “Apps for Healthy Kids.” “White House Office of Science & Technology Policy analyst Kumar Garg announced the Apps for Healthy Kids game development challenge promoting healthy lifestyle changes in young adults,” Gamasutra.com informed us last week.
This competition invites innovators such as students or game designers “to develop fun and engaging tools and games that drive children … to eat better and be more physically active,” as proclaimed on the challenge’s website.
“$40,000 in cash prizes will be awarded for winning entries in the contest’s ‘tools’ and ‘games’ categories,” Gamasutra.com noted in giving one more reason to participate.
Do you have any ideas for cool games for kids? Do you know how to develop software, tools or games for children? The deadline is June 30th, read more at appsforhealthykids.com.
