We’re no longer alone in our passion for online games for kids! “Innovative educational games can be a powerful tool for helping children learn”: this opinion, which we absolutely share, was voiced in Naomi Alderman’ article “In praise of educational games” published in The Guardian.
Naomi Alderman, a games writer herself, listed in her column “The Player” a “variety of games free online” provided by U.K. broadcasters. Her review contains links to BBC resources for kids of different ages, whether they be older or younger (“although the educational value of some of these is dubious,” as the author noticed), and to online projects for kids by Channel 4, specifically Routes Game and Smokescreen. The latter “aims to improve knowledge about online safety, privacy and trust among teens.”
Finding a like-minded person is just like getting a piece of apple pie and a strawberry milkshake for breakfast! We hope that if Naomi Alderman makes a review of children’s educational online games, and specifically ones made by dedicated enthusiasts, Driving Kids won’t be left out! ![]()
