How do you plan to celebrate Earth Day on April 22? Spruce up the garden — or create a list of free educational kids’ games on the environment? While you’re thinking about that, maybe you could suggest that your child make an eco-friendly drawing!
Residents aged 5-12 in 9 U.S. states (check the article in The Dallas Morning News to see which specific states) are welcome to take part in the contest “Coloring Earth Green,” creating unframed drawings on 9-by-12-inch paper.
“Winners will take home money for themselves and their schools, and they could win a trip to the Crayola factory,” the article said. The contest is sponsored by Aaron Brothers Art & Framing, and you may find more info about the contest terms and deadlines at its website.
Being ineligible to participate in the contest, however, is no reason to let Earth Day pass by without notice! Earth Day is a good occasion to play online games on the environment (like our “Clear Water,” for instance), or to set up your own online kids’ educational game or contest. Let’s join efforts and share our ideas on how to celebrate Earth Day!
